  1. National Night Out

    August 3, 2021, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Your Neighborhood

Neighborhoods throughout Lafayette are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for a crime and drug prevention event. This annual event has had over 38 million participants in over 16,142 communities in the US, Canada, and on military bases worldwide over its 38 years. National Night Out is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships, send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back, and heighten crime and drug awareness. Residents are asked to consider hosting block parties or cookouts or just gather outside with neighbors and also to turn on outside lights for the evening. If you have an event and would like Lafayette Police and Fire Department to stop by, please contact LPD Crime Prevention Technician Robert Wilson.
