Door Hangers

Door Hangers will be issued at 8 am on Tuesday following Late Notices. This is to inform residents that they have TWO business days from the date the Door Hanger was issued to pay the past-due balance, including the late and door hanger fees. Otherwise, the service will be disconnected. If you are requiring additional time, we offer payment arrangements. Please call 303-665-5588 option 1 to discuss options, or email us at utilitybill@lafayetteco.gov. Payment arrangement requests must be made before 5 pm before the disconnection of services is to occur.

Door Hanger fee

  • $15 (Residents inside the City limits)
  • $30 (Residents outside the City limits)

Disconnection of Services

To have services reconnected, the full balance due on the account must be paid with either cash, money order, cashier's check, or credit card. Checks will not be accepted. We are unable to enter into a payment arrangement once the services have been disconnected. If you make a payment online at www.lafayetteco.gov, you must call the Finance department at 303-665-5588 option 1. If payment is made after business hours, services will remain off until the following business day.

Shutoff/Turn on Fee

  • $35 (Residents inside the City limits)
  • $70 (Residents outside the City limits)

*If the Monday the late notice is to be issued is a holiday, the late notice will be issued the next day.

**If the Monday the late notice is due is a holiday, the late notice will be due on the previous Friday.
