1. What can I donate?

The Friends apppreciate your donations of new and gently used items! We can accept a maximum of two boxes, or four bags, of:

• Hardback/paperback fiction and nonfiction 
• Children’s books 
• DVDs 
• Games and jigsaw puzzles 

In order to take advantage of our space and maximize our ability to support Library programs, we are not able to accept:

• Books that are dirty, missing pages, have writing in them, or have torn dust jackets 
• Study guides, home school materials, or company-specific materials (example: HR guides) 
• Magazines, pamphlets, brochures, binders 
• Music CDs

2. What can I do with items you do not accept?

If you have items that do not meet our donation guidelines, including older, damaged, or hard-to-recycle items, you may contact the Broomfield Recycling Center at 303-404-2839, or CHARM Recycle in Boulder at 303-444-6634 for information about recycling options.

3. Are my book donations tax-deductible?

Yes! If you need a receipt for tax filing purposes, please ask someone at the checkout desk to provide one.

4. How do I donate books and other items?

Donations are accepted during regular Library hours. There is a limit of up to four bags or two boxes. Please review guidelines prior to bringing in your items.
