How can I get speeders in my neighborhood to slow down?
The department has a radar activated "speed trailer," which can be set up in problem areas of your neighborhood. This device measures vehicle speeds and displays it to the driver along with the posted speed limit for that area. Studies have shown that it is effective in reducing the amount of speed violators. Extra patrols can also be scheduled in which available officers will be present to monitor speeds personally and address them with either tickets or warnings as needed. Together, they should effectively reduce the problem.
