What is a Master Plan Update?

The Master Plan update will carefully determine community needs and provide a framework for projects relating to multi-modal connectivity, ecological land management, recreation and wellness opportunities, and much more.

The intent of this project is to provide the department with an updated Master Plan that contains a new set of realistic and implementable goals and recommendations for the future. With a process that involves the public, we will develop implementable recommendations that are reasonable and realistic without compromising service delivery.

Why Should I Attend?

Public feedback is a crucial element to the success of this plan. Feedback from key users of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department Facilities and Services, like you, are in a great position to provide crucial and relevant feedback to help shape the future of parks and recreation in Lafayette.

Who Should Attend?

Please send one or more representatives from your group or organization to the meeting of your choice. The best feedback will be created from a multitude of voices, but space is limited, so please do not plan to have a whole team, group or organization attend.

I want to engage, but can't attend a
meeting-what do I do?

There will be a variety of ways to engage and share opinions with staff outside of the public meetings. These include an online community engagement forum, an online survey, a statistically valid survey which will be mailed to a random sample of Lafayette residences and more. View the PROST Master Plan website to learn more about when alternative engagement methods will be available.
