[ARCHIVED] Western Disposal Residential Trash Service Resumes

** The notice below pertains to residents on the City of Lafayette’s Trash/Recycling Program only (you are billed for trash pickup through your water bill) **

(HOA customers of Western Disposal (303-444-2037; www.westerndisposal.com), Waste Connection (303-288-2100; www.wasteconnections.com), or Waste Management (303-797-1600; www.wm.com)
are encouraged to contact those carriers directly to inquire about your particular routes and pick up schedules.)

Western Disposal has resumed residential service this week. They are unable to return to the Lafayette homes that were skipped last week because of flooding issues.

Western Disposal realizes the Lafayette customers who did not receive pick up service on Thursday and Friday of last week may have an excess of recyclables. If you feel that you cannot hold those materials that would have been picked up last week until the next scheduled pick up, you may label them as trash and they will be processed as such this week.

For Lafayette’s Thursday and Friday residential trash service customers, Western will pick up the equivalent of two weeks worth of volume. For example, if you have a 64 gallon cart that wasn’t picked up last week, they will pick up the volume of the cart plus an additional 64 gallons of trash this week. If the Western trucks are unable to access your curb to empty your carts, you can move the carts to an accessible location nearest to your property for pick up. If you have large amounts of trash to be removed, please contact Western Disposal’s customer service department (303-444-2037) to arrange for a pickup.

The Western Disposal transfer station will be open Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd starting at 7:00 AM.

If you have questions or need clarification, please contact Western Disposal Customer Service at 303-444-2037 or visit http://www.westerndisposal.com/news_details.php?id=53
