The Lafayette Police Department is currently investigating reports of possible animal mutilations found in the Hilltop subdivision (northwest of Waneka Lake). Hilltop residents have reported finding the remains of a few small non-domestic animals over the last three months. Investigation is underway to determine if there is human involvement or if normal wild animal predation has occurred. Please report any suspicious behavior to animals to the police department.
