In 2021, Lafayette voters supported a 0.1% sales and use tax increase to provide funding assistance to nonprofit organizations that provide mental health and human services (MHHS) to Lafayette residents. In July, a seven-member MHHS Advisory Committee was appointed to review grant applications from area service providers and make funding recommendations to City Council.
