County Line Road, between Hwy 7 (Baseline Road) and Monroe Street, is scheduled for closure to all northbound and southbound traffic, beginning on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. This closure will be permanent as part of ongoing infrastructure developments.
The closure is necessary to complete utility work associated with the Lafayette Water Reclamation Facility Expansion Project and as part of the decommissioning plan within the Erie Parkdale Development Project. This work is in line with an Intergovernmental Agreement with Erie.
During this transition, residents should use the detour via 119th Street and Arapahoe Road. However, this is a temporary detour. Erie is anticipating the completion of Coal Creek Boulevard/Monroe Street this summer, which will replace County Line Road as the new primary southbound/northbound route to and from Hwy 7. Erie, the Parkdale Developer, Xcel, and CDOT are working to ensure a smooth and timely completion of Coal Creek Boulevard .
