Lafayette's Art on the Street Program (AOTS), the largest on-loan outdoor sculpture program in Boulder County, is celebrating 14 creative years of presenting stimulating art to the Lafayette community. The 20 new sculptures installed in April enhance just under 50 other works of art in the City's permanent collection. The 2022 AOTS lineup includes titles such as Abundance Tree, Muse of Art, Joie de Vivre, and Trinity (shown in this photo) sprinkled along Public Road, East Simpson Street, and at the Arts HUB.
Each year the newly installed sculptures are celebrated through the See & Respond exhibit, scavenger hunts, and other activities. With support from the Public Art Committee, Cultural Arts Commission, and Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority, the City has purchased 30 of the temporary AOTS sculptures over the years to keep them in Lafayette.
