Old Town Lafayette introduces Project Hopscotch

News flash graphic_Old Town Hopscotch

For the first time ever, Old Town Lafayette invites you to hop, skip and jump through our downtown district and see where life takes you. Artists, artisans, residents, and local businesses are all gathering from September 15 through October 15 to get a true taste of Lafayette living.

Remember the days when life slowed down as you could embrace whatever adventures you stumbled upon? You can find that same spirit in Old Town Lafayette with Project Hopscotch. We've partnered with local artists and business owners to create 10 custom hopscotch courses that will be featured throughout our blooming streets. These works of art are more than show so people of all ages are encouraged to come and play.

For every QR code scanned at each hopscotch course, the Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority will donate $1 towards a scholarship fund, up to $2,000, that benefits a local art student. Stop by any onsite business to pick up your map, shop local, and get hopscotching through Old Town Lafayette!
