The City of Lafayette is seeking residents interested in serving on the Senior Advisory Board. The Senior Advisory Board of Lafayette Senior Services advises City Council and Senior Services staff in matters pertaining to the 55 and older population of Lafayette. The seven members serve three-year terms.
Why join the SAB? Here are some insights from a current member:
“Ten years ago I was approached by a SAB member and asked to apply for a soon-to-be vacant position…As a SAB member…I have attended a least a half dozen [Senior Law Day conferences] … and they have … given me insights as to what our community needs to do to assist our families that have aging parents and grandparents. …I want to be part of the solution to some of the problems our Lafayette seniors are facing. I believe we can make a difference. That’s why I choose to continue being a member of this dedicated group.” -Bob Magin
