Our goal is to offer books for sale that people will want to buy, so we can only accept fiction and nonfiction paperback and hardback books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks in good condition.
Please remember that all profits from our book sales are used to support Library programs, including the Summer Reading Program.
With that in mind, we do NOT accept the following, because nobody will buy them:
- anything in a loose-leaf binder
- books that are dirty, torn, or have missing covers
- encyclopedias, singly or in sets
- magazines
- teaching or homeschooling materials
How many books can I donate?
We can accept no more than 4 boxes. Please check in with Library staff in the Lobby to donate your books during regular Library hours (Monday-Thursday 10am- pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 1-5 pm).
What can you do with books we don’t take?
- Hardback books can be taken to CHaRM Center for Hard to Recycle Materials, 6400 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder
- ARC will pick up all your boxed books at your home, and there is no limit on the number of boxes they will take. Call them at 303-666-8060.
