Week of the Child/Semana del Niño

Every April, the Library hosts a day or week of events to acknowledge the year-round commitment to literacy and family inspired by El día de los niños/El día de los libros. Día is a celebration promoting literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. 

Also known as Children's Day, Book Day, this initiative was started in 1997 by author Pat Mora, and is observed nationally by the American Library Association, and libraries across the country.

International Tea

Sunday, April 21, 2-4pm, Meeting Room, lower level 
Come travel around the world and learn about community members' cultures and countries while sampling tea and a small snack.

Daily Storytimes with Special Guests 

Monday, April 22-Saturday, April 27, 10:30-11am, Kid Zone, upper level
Join us this week for guest Storytimes! Each day features a guest storyteller and our librarians sharing stories featuring different cultures and nationalities.
