Wilson Community Garden

Looking for space to grow your own fresh vegetables and herbs? Look no further than the Wilson Community Garden in Lafayette. Located at the intersection of West Emma and Miller Streets, 500 S. Miller Ave., you can reserve your own little piece of farmland right in the middle of town. 

Garden throughout the year with no season closing date and retain your selected plot for the next year. At the end of the reservation period, current gardeners have the first option to rent the same plot for each succeeding year.

  • Dumpster on a concrete pad for garden waste
  • Crusher fine paths within the gardens
  • Additional parking - parallel parking spots along alley allowing easy loading/unloading access to garden plots

  • Concrete sidewalks along Emma Street and South Miller Avenue

  • Shade structure and seating boulders
  • Pollinator wildflower mix in the northwest corner

What you need to know for 2023:

  • Registration for open plots is available beginning 
    • Jan. 9 - Residents
    • Jan. 16 - Nonresidents
  • Depending on weather and regional drought conditions, it is anticipated the hand-watering spigot(s) in the Garden will be turned on in April. Please watch for updates.
  • Non-reserved plots are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Plots are limited; two plots per gardener.
  • Dates specific to the 2023 gardening season are indicated on the Rules and Regulations Form.
