Career

Chief Rick Bashor joined the Lafayette Police Department in 1984. During his career in Lafayette, he has served in many capacities, including reserve officer, patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, administrative sergeant, support services lieutenant, and support services and operations commander.

Education

Chief Bashor has a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice administration and has attended many law enforcement related management courses. He is also a certified firearms range master. In 2000, he attended the 200th session of the FBI National Academy. Chief Bashor can be contacted at 303-665-5571.
