National Take Back Day

The Lafayette Police Department also participates in the national prescription take-back events each year. These events are usually scheduled each spring and fall, providing local locations to drive up and drop off.

The National Take-Back day provides a unified opportunity to drop off any expired, unwanted, or unused medications to law enforcement officers for safe destruction. When an event is scheduled, it is posted on the Police Department's calendar.
